Bonefish fly

Hi Larry!

I just saw your show about fishing for bonefish in the Seychelles and I was wondering about the "Bonefish Cruncher" fly (vertical pattern) you used. Do you have instructions on how to tie it or do you sell it through retailers? Also, where in the Seychelles did you tape the show (I did not catch the complete episode)? Thanks!

HI G
It's simply a parachute fuselage, with the hook bent in such a way that a set of dumbell eyes will make it stand upright. The wing is a combination of wool and 4 strands of silicone legs. Body dubbing of any kind. I use flashabou dubbing mixed with what ever I have that's the color I need.
I try to match the color of the bottom with the fly.
Umpqua carried it, but never really tied it right. I don't have it available on dvd. I pretty sure a quick construction instruction was given on one of the Seychelles episodes. I may have it on vhs.
Have you googled for instructions?
Sorry I've not been much help.
best,
L
