Larry!
What's your favorite superline for chucking heavy topwater plugs long distances at big fish like GT's? I feel like some are more prone to wind/casting knots.
Longtime fan, thanks in advance!

hey Liv
welcome to the forum. GT fishing is in my opinion the ultimate test for both equipment and angler when it comes to the demands of long casts, having to really move the lure and having to pull as hard as humanly possible once you get bit!
It's hard to find in the states, but Bobby Brown in 100 lb was the hands down best performer all around for GT fishing that I've used.
I'm talking about spinning gear. Didn't use it with baitcasters.
best,
L

I have had good luck using Momoi Diamond braid for GTs in Maldives. Heading back in little over a month. 8)

Jerry Brown braid? I love the stuff. I've got 80 pound on my bottom gear.

FWIW, I get the 80 at Tackle Direct. They might have the 100. http://www.tackledirect.com/search.html ... rown+braid
