Whiggley Rigging For Tuna

Postby Driftboat Greg » Sun Aug 10, 2014 11:05 pm

Hi Larry, Got my Whiggley's the other day and they look great. My question is, what would be the best way to rig them with a single hook for bluefin tuna. Can I just run a fluorocarbon 80 lb. leader through the tube that is molded into the Whiggley or do you think the chamfering of the tube will cause leader cutoffs upon hook ups......Thanks, Greg.

I'd go with a 130 fluoro and your favorite single! I've not had any issues with chaffing.
good luck,
