Questions about Saltwater Fishing

Drake Bay, Costa Rica

Postby megafriday » Mon Mar 05, 2007 6:37 pm

Larry,

Any advice for the Drake Bay area on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica? We will be there in early May and are planning on going for inshore species with an emphasis on roosterfish.

By the way, after witnessing your casting prowess on your show, whenever my girlfriend or I make a great cast, the other will holler "Dahlberg, Baby!"

Thanks
Jon

Hi MF
Best way is to catch small live bait and use it either to chum for fly fishing or hook directly on the hook!
Biggest ones like foot long or more bonito fished in 45-65 feet off rock points.
Biggest numbers will run the beaches and relate to rock or current breaks. They like lures that move FAST!
best,
L
