Larry I am sure you are tired of this question but for the life of me I can't remember your answer. (73 and almost a tight line) So here goes, you have stated many times that you use 65 lb braid on your bait casting reels and I was wondering if the thickness of 65 lays flatter and has less chance of cinching down into the spool?

thanks

No need to apologize, I'm here for you man! Yes, 65 would "cut in"less likely than 50 but more likely than 80. I find it a great compromise for the most wide number of applications.
Like all braid, it still has to be wound on as tightly as possible. If you're getting backlashes and all else fails with controls on the reel, take off some line.
best
