Coral Sea on Nomad

Postby Dan Hanon » Mon Mar 11, 2013 1:30 pm

Larry,

I'm fishing with Nomad last week of April into early May on Elusive Reef for GT et al. Any recommendations for trip preparation, other than getting a personal trainer? I bought about a dozen recommended lures from one of the guides, as well as a Ripple Fisher GT rod for poppers/stickbaits. I've never done this type of fishing, so I'm a little anxious.

Thanks, :P

Personal trainer is a good idea. Bring several gloves for your casting finger. The big spinning reels and heavy lures are murder on the finger tip.
Stella 18000, loaded with 100#!
You will enjoy it. Say hi to the guys for me!
Good luck, safe travels!

Thanks, I'll bring some more gloves, including some Owners. I'm doing cardio, pushups, situps, triceps and bench press. I'm so out of shape..... I'm gonna use their Shimano Stella 18000SW with 100# Jerry Brown Braid on my 7'8" Ripple Fisher GT Reversal rod. Also bringing my snorkel mask.
