TYGER wire knots

Larry,
I know you use a lot of Tyger wire and was curious what knots have worked best for you. I've been using a surgeons knot for hooks and swivels and a albright knot for attaching the light stuff (15lb) to the main line.

Sure like the new boards !!!

hi Hwk,
The best knot I've found for any fairly soft wire is a 3 turn uni knot.
A double uni is the strongest line to line connection.
I've had a few toothy fish, Golden Dorado and Piranhas to be exact, bite through the stuff. Also have experienced some fatigue problems with it using heavy lures and making jillions of casts, so I'm still looking for the "perfect wire".
best,
L

What about titanium? Do you like steel better?

Hi c,
Steel can drive you nuts, especially using lures, because of the kinks.
I've been experimenting with Titanium using heat to set it and it looks very promising, but I'm pretty sure I'm loosing some strength at the twist.
I'm planning to visit a medical titanium place to see if/how they weld it. l've not been happy with the results of trying to tie it in a knot.
Sounds like we're both on the same track. Let me know if you find something super excellent and I'll do the same!
best,
L
