My wife and son have the gulf fishing bug, we are dragging an RV down from Missouri mid July to early August. What species should we target at this time? Guide and RV accomodation recommendations are welcome.
Thanks!

The usual red snapper, amber jack, cobia, but sheep head and spade fish are great to eat these will be more in-shore. If you want to fish @ night go under the Perdido bridge you could catch who knows what there. Oh yes surf fishing for white fish in August is fun.

Speckeled trout are some tasty fish. Live shrimp, saltwater gulp baits, maybe some finger mulletts if you can get them. Grass flats, around docks with lights at night. Red fish too are possible. Talk to local bait shop folks. While there, head over to pensacola nas and hit the museum.
