Proto Type Baitcaster Reel

Hey Larry, I was watching your show the other night, the show where you were in the Gulf with LA. FWC, tagging and sampling various species of fish to see if the oil spill had any impact on them. You were using this awesome looking baitcasting reel. I believe you said it was a "proto-type" reel. Can you give more info on that reel? Thanks, Vito Barresi

It's made by Shimano and called a TranX. Is due to be shipped to stores in the next month or two.

HEY LARRY...LOVE YOUR SHOW...WATCHED THE TUNA SHOW YESTERDAY...THat reel is awesome...i want one for my charter boat here on long island....can you give me the right info to get one...capt. joey bud russo

As I understand it, there's a waiting list! Although I'm sure lots of other retailers in other areas have the reel, I'm most familiar with shops in my area that I run into at various sport shows. I know for sure you can check online at Thorne Brothers in minnesota or ROllie and Helen's in Wisconsin . I believe they received shipments in the last week.
Totally KILLER reel for tossing lures at fish too big for "ordinary" conventional baitcasters!
