Thanks for the Buck Perry tip

Mr. Dahlberg:

Thanks for the tip on Buck Perry's Spoonplugging book. I just got a copy and it's really helping me understand deep water fishing and trolling. It's the best explanation I've read yet.

I had checked that book out at the library once and was turned off by his preachy writing style. I thought it was just some book that was written to promote spoonplug lures. Your endorsement of it as a bona fide good book renewed my interest.

One question: Is Perry really the father of modern freshwater fishing methods? If so, I really owe much of my success as a fisherman to him. Was he really the pioneer of structure fishing?

Best regards.

By the way, how's this for interesting?: Perry's name was Elwood Lake Perry, and his funeral was at the Bass-Smith funeral home.

Funny how some people's names fit their passion.

Dahlberg isn't translated from Scandinavian as "master fisherman", is it?
