Musky-sized Norman Weed Wacker

Postby BrianF. » Mon Jul 18, 2011 9:02 am

Larry, for years, I've been fantasizing about having a musky-sized, musky-proof version of the old Norman Weed Wacker (Walker?) for use over milfoil and other similiarly nasty floating vegetation.

Any chance that you could be encouraged to work on such a project?? Too much for engineering for me to tackle, but what a great concept. I'll pre-order three of them right now. hehe

BrianF.

ps. Your Plopper is the 'bait of the year' so far in my boat. Thx!

I remember the Weedwalker well! Actually not hard to make at all, and if made with a flexible paddle wheel would be pretty musky proof. I'm betting most of our "goop heads" who've been casting lures out of resin could make one easily. Personally, I've not got time right now to do anything in my workshop but try to keep up with my own supply of mr whiggleys.
Rather than discount your own creative or constructive skills I think you ought to give it a shot yourself! Copy an impeller fan for the paddle.
