Larry,
I'm gearing up this spring to fish for Walleyes. I set up on steep Rocky points and banks in Tennessee and put a light out. When Alwives start circling I catch them on a sabiki and put them in my shad tank. The baits are about 3 inches or so. My hook up ratio pitching the baits to the bank is very poor. I think I may have been using too stiff of a spinning rod but I also would like to know the best hook to use for this application on walleyes. I hook the baits through the back to keep them running away from the boat and splashing about. What is your suggestion for a hook for this type of fishing?
