WILL THE HANDLE OF THE 300E FIT THE 300EJ. THE EJ HANDLE IS JUST TO BIG FOR ME.

I would say yes since the internal parts such as the gear shaft, pinion and overall design of the main gear has not changed.

Yes it will fit. The drive shaft is the same so it will bolt right on.

Henry - if you are considering replacing your handle and want to sell the original I'd be interested in buying it from you. The opprtunity is that I would want that original to swap into my 300E when I want to do "big game" with it. Email or PM me. Here's my email addy: rbenash@verizon.net

I'd like to have a EJ handle when I want to do some saltwater with the St.Croix tidemaster and my 300E. Fished this combo well in summer, but would have been nice to have an EJ handled during that trip. Otherwise all was perfect. Typically the 300e is on the heavy Kistler for freswater. Let me know if you want to do a deal. Otherwise I will be making an equal/opposite order from Shimano for the EJ handle :)

Funny thing (thanks Bantam) - I posted an opposite question that Bantam answered on another forum :) At least we know that 300E and EJ handles should swap :)
