giant swimbait for peacock bass

Hi Larry,

I'm a big fan of your show and maybe you can help me out. I think you were in Suriname with friend Cesare and you were fishing a giant soft plastic swimbait for peacock bass. I've watched your videos on the makelure.com website and was wondering if you could explain the process of making this bait to me. Also, do you think it would work in a saltwater application for something like snook and redfish in a smaller size?

Hi F
You are no doubt referring Mr Whiggley. Actually, I've made them in 3 sizes. The small size is what I fish pcocs with, and it is indeed lethal.
I've had tarpon and billfish whack it, but have not fished it for reds.
THe lure making dvd shows how to make it. The Soft Plastic kit has all the ingredients.
best,
L
