Tiger shovelnose, and Red tail cats.

REd tail cats and tiger shovelnose cats

have you caught these fish before? and what are the biggest of the two species that you have caught?

Hi TJ,
I've caught many, many different species of catfish in South America, including several redtails in the low 100-120 pound range.
When you refer to the "tiger shovel-nose" I assume you're talking about the Surubi family, which area striped or spotted.
I've caught at least 3 different species of them, the largest, one about 140#. in Argentina. Interestingly, lots of these have been caught on lures.

thats what i was talking about. thanks for the reply. those are some big catfish. i have a hybrid of the two in my fishtank but hes only about a foot long.... for now.
