chain pickerel

Hey larry

I live down south and i am starting to get into pickerel fishing to take the edge off of pike and musky fever. Do you know any good lures for chain pickerel. I have been using no.4 and 5 Mepps Aglia longs. Do you know any other lures, like some homemade lures.

I'd make some little glide, twitch baits modeled after successful musky lures, but scaled down to pickerel size.
Look thru Rollie and Helen's or Thornes for ideas.
use alumilite resin with microballoons for lure.
