potomac river muskies

Larry, the upper potomac river has started to come on as a good spot for tigers. Any suggestion on tactics, lures for the spring of the year. The potomac is relativly shallow water and tends to be stained in the spring. Lots of smallmouth and walleye activity also. thanks jnelson

Areas where vertical drop changes. Tributaries.
Eddies adjacetn to current, usually deeper is better, 4' or less can be enough, but 6' + is usually better for muskies.
If cover is scarce any that's available is worth checking often. Pitch standard stuff. Bucktail, topwater, jerks, etc-when you find one, be sneaky, and see what he like to eat by giving him options. alwayss a tough call as to how long you should beat on them. I tend to try and not let them know I am after them.
good luck,
L
