Just finished a day on the upper part of the Little Juniata. The upper part is open all year round and you can take fish which I did. I cleaned 8 decent size fish and they were full of two things...fish eggs size 16 and Grannom cases size 14. Mostly Grannom cases. These are the rectangular stick houses that the Grannom caddis build. The fish were loaded with them. If anybody has these bugs on their local waters a bead head with all black thread wrapped to the bend is a killer. Can't wait for the hatch when it comes off. Millions of bugs all over a period of a few days. Until then I know I'll be using small egg patterns and little black bead heads.
