Peacock Bass

Hi Larry:
I contacted you this past summer asking for some advice on fishing for peacock bass in Brazil. I just got back last
Sunday and what a trip. In spite of the high water, seven of us caught 1,776 peacocks in five days. From Manaus we flew
into Santa Maria and then traveled up the Bronco. We fished two tributaries of the Bronco, the Mata Mata and Mau. I
know there is always a tougher fish somewhere but it is hard to fathom one. A 4 pound peacock will out battle a 10 pound
walleye in a heart beat. It was basically a jig bite but I did catch my largest (13 pounds) on a Zara Spook. I have watched
you since your days in the early 1980's with "In-Fisherman". I love your shows. Keep up the great work. Some day it would
be great to talk to you about the many adventures you have experienced.

Sincerely,
