Two handed sticks for big lures

Hi Larry.
What do you think of using big, 8´6 swimbait sticks for throwing big crankbaits? I´m thinking in using some steelhead rods from lamiglas that might work also. I need to consistently deliver 2 oz. cranks at 150 feet with casting gear.
By the way, Javier Enrique from Goya sends kind regards. Great fishing in the marshlands and the Paraná. Pretty good average fish (10 pounds) and some bigger surprises in the main streams.
Thank you ver much, Bruno.

HI B
Sure you can, they just have to be stiff enough.
I've settled in on around 7'6". They cast that distance easily.
The longer the rod gets with those heavy lures, the stiffer it is. Lots of leverage against you, plus, remember, after you cast a mile, you have to reel the darn thing back in. A deep diving crankbait combined with an 8+ foot rod is a man killer.
Hi to Javiar and all the guys from me!
best,
L
