Hi Larry: Just back from another great trip at La Zona. With terrible weather we managed 11 over 40lbs and 1 over 50lbs. Hector says to tell you hello. I really enjoyed fishing with the Daiwa Lexa 400 as was a treat trolling and casting!! 8)

thanks for checking in with the report, sounds like a phenomenal trip. glad to hear old hectors still ticking, hello back!
glad to hear the diawa worked out, how do you rate it strictly on a casting basis versus a similar shimano? Power basis?
Larry

Larry: Thought the casting was easier with the Daiwa as lighter than the other reel. For power I would rate equal. Remember however the other reel did not hold up to PNG bass and golden dorado and had to be sent in for repairs. Also the Daiwa reel is much less costly. Only issue is again no clicker for live bait as really would have liked to use it on the Nile Perch trip and next winters Suriname cat trip.
Good fishing, Bob 8)

Think I'm Gonna Trade My Shimano Curado 200 And 300 For Baitcasters With Clickers, But I Got. 2 Calcutta TE's With Clickers I'm Gonna Hang On To.
