lake arenal, costa rica

i have a place in costa rica on lake arenal. does anyone have any info or suggestions about fishing that lake?

They planted guapote in it years and years ago. They're beautiful bass like fish and you catch them on small crankbaits and topwater plugs. Last I heard fishing was tough in Arenal due to a number of reasons, but the populations cycle.
