Questions about Freshwater Fishing

lotw

i have been fishing lake of the woods for a while now and mostly in july in the north west angle area. i have noticed over the years that there is alot more pressure lately and some of the classic spots have been hit so hard you dont see the fish there anymore. i have been spending more time out on the reefs for musky and am finding the fish. have you ever fished the deeper stucture or even casted deep water off structure for musky on lotw? i truly believe the big girls are out deep eating and coming shallow to digest there food.

Of course they're there when there's forage present. Lotw offers all kinds of different environmental options and the fish will use all of them. I have no doubt that the fish are still in the more "classic" spots but they've become conditioned to anglers and lures.
I'd say you are certainly on the right track, but would also suggest not giving up entirely on the old haunts.
