Larry: Do you think the new Rapala SXR-14 X-Raps will hold up to the La Zona dorados?
On a side note, had another great trip to Itapara Lodge in early Jan 07. Largest peacocks were 4 in at 19lbs. Water levels were ideal.

Hi B,
For sure you'll have to change hooks and split rings. I'm sure they'll bite it, but would suggest lures with a thinner profile and larger hooks. Hooking percentages are not great with these fish and you want to do everything you can to increase your odds.
Sounds like great pcock fishing.
