The Hunt For Big Fish with Larry Dahlberg

What is the best shimano waxwing rod and reel combo? For fishing with the jr 4.65 inches 1.5 oz. to the daddy 6.6 inches 4.4 ounces. I mostly fish smallies and muskies in fresh water.

I would say either the 300ej or 300D paired with an eight or eight and a half foot heavy Terez.
Lots of different retrieves work with this lure. From straight burn to any combination. I like a crank like crazy, micro stop twitch, twitch to get side to side then burn for muskies. also like to add a flashabou tail about three inches long, tied on a separate split ring attached to the rear hook hanger .
I made some floating/dive an rise versions that have great promise.
