Minnesota opener...

Larry,
With the winter lasting so long up here, and the water still so cold, what in your opinion would be the best approach the big walleyes and pike in the cold lake waters? Should i treat it like a late fall day and throw big stuff or a winter day and go really slow with small lures???

I'd treat them each differently. Prespawn big walleye I'd go with four or five inch sucker minnows.
Pike, it would depend on habitat and weather, but not likely to use anything real huge. Up to seven inches or so.
