Hi Larry I"m planning a trip to Rainy and heard there are muskie in Redgut bay.Do you know of any particular spots and maybe the closest resort/campground to some known muskie spots to base out of?
Thanks Scott.

I think you have a good plan. Redgut has been famous as a musky spot for around 50 years, but it's certainly a great choice, especially if you like catching them on topwater. It's stained water and quite literally, any place where there "should" be a musky there most likely is one!
I suggest topwater, long casts and as wide a variety of speeds and sounds as you can come up with, worked at different angles, especially dawn and dusk. Zig zag, props, wobblers, creepers, bulge ers, slurpers, gurglers, clickers, tickers, wakers, ....
Other options include all other options!
Not sure of any camp grounds, but I'm sure a little checking will yield results.

good luck!
