I've not fished there, but spoken with several people who have. Obviously, it's riverine rather than reservoir like Nassar or a lake like Victoria so it offers a totally different experience.
Current edges, and under floating flotsam using both live and artificials and most often fishing from the bank was the story I got.
Top end no where near what Victoria or Nassar have produced in the past.
It would be interesting to check up on Lakes Albert and Turkana. Back in the mid 1990's when I first fished for Nile Perch those two lakes were "frontier" and not yet impacted. Last time I was on Nassar there were so many nets it was hard to fish.
I've heard Victoria has declined, but they were saying that when I was there 20 years ago. I'd guess with good boat and electronics big boys could still be located in victoria.
