Fly Rod/Reel for Pike and Peacocks

Larry,
I want a fly setup satisfactory for both large pike and peacock bass. I was thinking a 9 ft 10wt rod with appropriate reel. What do you think?

I agree. That's exactly the right rig! Suggest a reel with the largest spool diameter so the line has less kinks. Also something other than that lousy, noisy, sticky SharkSkin line. It's horrible in the northern hemisphere and totally pathetic in the tropics.

Thanks Larry. I'm looking at an Abel large arbor reel, maybe the one with quick spool release. I like sight casting to fish, when possible, even if the fish are smaller. That is a very rare opportunity for me!
