How much does color matter in dark water?

Larry, what colors would you suggest on soft plastics for muskies in dark moderate stained water, such as Lake Of The Woods?

I've read that orange, red and white are more visible in dark, stained waters. Blue, green and black more visible in clear water. Visibility changes dramatically when you go deeper, even several feet below the surface. I think too much emphasis is often places on color, compared to lure movement, size, speed and placement in the water column.

Black with orange blades is always good in tannin colored water. I've also had better than average success in dark water with bright fluorescent greens and chartreuse. But, that being said my general on color is to match the hue of the lure to the color of the water, which usually also matches forage.
I too am more inclined to be more concerned with movement, size etc. than I am color.
best,
