La Zona/ Shimano TranX

Postby Bob Daly » Thu Apr 19, 2012 6:44 pm

HI Larry: Just back from La Zona fishing for golden dorado with the new Shimano TranX PG. All in the group where extremely happy with the reel. Fishing was great landing 11 over 40lbs including 3 over 50lbs with largest at 55lbs for the group of 4. BTW Hector said to tell you hello!
Next test fort the TranX will be in Papua New Guinea later in the summer

Bob, which line and rod did you use with the TranX?

While using the TranX PG for golden dorado, I used PowerPro 150lbs and a Bass Pro Muskie Angler MA66MHT-2 and occasionally the MA72HT-2 which I really like as they are 2 piece rods so no problem with the airlines.
Good fishing, Bob Daly
