Rogerio,

While Larry returns from one of his Hunts for big fish (Poor Larry!), I can start answering a little in advance.

That fly is a Diver made with sinthetic fibers on the body, and a head made with circle shaped foam sheets (Two on top and one below the hook shank, I guess).

As Larry told before, deer hair divers aren't the best choice for fishing on warm waters. After his advice, I started tying my divers for peacock bass with foam and other sinthetic materials, and they work much better. No mater what you put on spinned deer hair flies, they sunk and get too heavy after a few casts on warm water.

This fly has produced me good catches in chartreuse, and in yellow with a red foam head.

Good luck with those peacocks!

Carlos.

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for the answer. I will try to find the Larry´s issue on spun deer hair.
Regarding the fly could you send me a picture or something?

Regards,

Rogerio

About all I have is that photo. THe fly is just as our friend described in the post made in my abscence.
It just has to be symetrical! Fished with long casts, fast, fast and loud long bubble trails on the retrieve, it has produced numerous pcocks for me in the high teens and low twenties with a fairly short amount of fishing time.
Hope you have as good of luck on it as I have!!
best,
L
