weather change

Larry, I was wandering what effects rainy weather had on the fall muskie bite. I am located in central MO. and it has been raining on and off with a few thunderstorm. will this make the fishing better or worse? and what can I do to increase my odds of catching these fish?

I haven't had a chance to chase muskie yet this year, but I am planning on doing so in a couple of weeks. It is starting to get get cold and wanted a few tips for catching these big guys. I will be fishing on lake shelbyville in central Illinois. thanks again for your wonderful program.

You can never say for sure, but generally weather on the cloudy side is better. Especially if it's been clear for a long time.
I've found, as fall time advances fronts have less and less negative effect on fish.
My suggestion is to fish when ever allows you the longest contiguous stretch of time/days to be on the water.
best,
