10 ft Power Pole

Larry - I am thinking of investing on a 10 ft Power Pole. I have a 2000 Triton 189. My biggest concern is whether is will hold up to the punishment that Lake of the Woods can dish out. If properly mounted on the transom should I worry about it ripping off while traveling in rough water?

Thanks

No problem. I've forgotten and left mine totally deployed in a down position and run at 55 mph for 20 miles and it still is working fine. They are as close to bomb proof as anything can be. It's a brilliant design in the way the stresses are distributed.
My friend Bob Turgeon was just visiting and we were talking about how dependent we've become on our power poles when launching, docking, trolling etc.
best,
L

Thanks Larry -

I think of many situations where I would use one. I fish alone a great deal of time on Lake of the Woods. Just being able to deploy when fighting a muskie can be huge!

I have an 8 foot and after using it for 3 years, I depend on it more than my trolling motor. I did break the bottom bolt this year, but was an easy fix.
