was wondering if these reels would be a good choice for flathead catfish and live baiting for muskies? what size would you recommend? any and all comments on these reels good or bad would be appreciated.

I would think the 500 size would be perfect. I know we have a few customers that use them for trolling applications to target Muskie. I know they will work fine for catfish.

thanks Bantam1 for your advice. how do the reels hold up and do they cast well? are the gear ratios different on each size reel?

So far the reels have held up very well. They cast decent considering they were designed for trolling applications. The gear ratio is 4.2:1 on all models.
