Fly line for pike/bass

Postby Duke » Sun May 13, 2007 8:21 am

Larry, I went out and bought a 10wt rod and reel for pike/bass after watching your video. I now need to buy an 11wt line. You told about using sinking and floating lines in different situations but, what line would you recommend for an all purpose pike/bass line(sinking or floating)? Thanks.

HI Duke,
I'd think twice before investing in an 11 weight line for your #10 rod.
Suggest sticking with a weight forward 10 in a floating version as your first line.

Thanks Larry, what about sinking tips for the floating line?

Floating is what I use 99% of the time!
