I'm using some 200lbs test spiderwire braid for some hailbut fishing etc and my question is do I need to tie a bimini twist in the line, then connected to a pcs of fluorocarbon or what do you recommend I do for connection to this braid. thanks

Hi Ty,
Tthe bimini will always be the strongest. Whether you need it or not depends on how strong your single line connection is in relation to how hard you're gonna pull. My guess is with 200# line you have plenty of margin.
Personally I like a little lighter line because it allows for smaller reels and most importantly, better control with a wider range of jig sizes; which in current is a huge factor.
best,
