The Hunt For Big Fish with Larry Dahlberg

Hi Larry,
I know you traveL alot and have said in the past that you use a "portable"
fish finder. I am looking for such a unit, but have been only able to find
cheaper sonars. Is there a way to turn a standard unit into a portable?

Hi Joe,
I've made a simple double suction cup bracket which I pair up with a good quality Lowrance "permanant" type locator.
Sometimes I stick it to the back of the boat, at other times I can shoot it through the hull. On many, many, occasions having the Lowrance instead of relying on the cheap junk often found in the third world or on the boats at a lodge, has made the difference between success and failure.
I liked the old forum better too, but we had to switch to this format because of uncontrolled spammers.
