braided line

Larry I trully enjoy your show. I think is the best show. I was wondering a couple of years back you never used braided line. However I have noticed that since you changed to suffix line you now use braided line. Why the change? (to using braided over mono) I have seen you land some gigantic fish with mono. That is all I use however I may try briaded line soon.

Thanks

hi b,
good question. I finally found a nice tight, comact braid that had more body.
Braid and mono each have a place. Braid for light bites in deep water, solid hooksets, and where abraision on rocks is not a problem. also like mono for super heavy pulling at close range.
Mono and braid are about 50/50 for me in terms of fishing use. I still prefer mono on my spinning reels.
best,
L
