Heavy mono loop knot that you use?

Postby aka anglinarcher » Wed Jun 07, 2017 5:54 pm

Larry, another question if you don't mind?

I noticed that you tie a loop knot for some of your heavy mono to lure connections. I think I have seen it used by you on wire as well. It looks to me like it is a Bowline.

Is that correct, and if not, can you post a video on Makelure.com showing how you tie that knot?

Thanks as always,
AKA

Yup, essentially a bowline but instead of an open loop, you start with an overhand knot. it , like a bowline can be untied and retied.
I call it Knot again...

Thanks Larry, I will need to see if I can make that alteration.

I have used the straight Bowline for Tiger Muskie and I love how fast I can change lures on heavy mono without using a clip of swivel.

PS, Do you remember the time the Muskie got your Mr. Wiggley when the swivel clip opened up? I zoomed in on that screen shot and I swear that the clip was closed before you started using it. I have had that style open, about one in several thousand cast, but........
