Tennessee Muskies protection?

Larry,

While watching your vids of old shows, I was reminded of the plight of the Tennessee Muskies being killed by live baiting with "J" hooks while there were concentrated at the hot water discharge.

Did they ever protect those fish?

fortunately the next couple winters after we shot were warm enough that the plant did not come into play. Bill dance saw it and called me. he also gave me the names and contact info for some high ups in the fisheries dept, who I contacted. from what I could determine they took a look at it but I don't think anything has been actually implemented at this time. I may be wrong, and I hope so, but have not heard anything.

If they're native fish, you'd figure they'd fall all over themselves to preserve the fishery.

I see this stuff all the time out west. Once it is gone, they consider anything re-introduced as being a different blood line......unless it is convenient for them to do otherwise. I hope a Muskie club started up out there and are exerting a political influence on them.

Those anglers need an organization with the clout of CCA to speak for the musky.
