New Guinea Bass

Larry, I recently read an article on New Guinea Bass, fished for in the tribal waters of New Guinea. From what I read, they would seem to be a lock for one of your all time favs. Right up there with golden dorado, musky, tarpon, and tigerfish. I do not recall ever seeing you target them.Did I miss it, is it on any of your dvds. Also any new show plans on the networks, I can only seem to find the classics. GEDDY

Had to opportunity to fish for Papua New Guinea Bass on the Gulf Coast of PNG. Fantastic trip with a few in the group over 40lbs plus at that time the IGFA all tackle record which has since been broken. Nothing in freshwater compares to the strike put on my the PNG bass. Good barramundi fishing also. I believe Larry did fish for them. IF possible put that trip on your to do list! 8)

Yes, Larry did fish for them. I believe it was on his 2007, or maybe 2006 season.

Hard strikes, in heavy wood in steams. Had to stop them dead in their tracks.
I think my bucket list has a hole in the bottom!
