Suriname Wolf fish episodes

Larry,

I haven't enjoyed a fishing show as much as your recent Wolf fish episodes in a long time! They were fun to watch, humerous and informative! Sorry about the Boga grip!

I was wondering if you've ever tried a large chrome Rat-L-Trap? Those things were deadly for me in Brazil. We just slowly pumped the rod up and down, bounced them off rocks, occasionally got hung up, but not too often.

I also had luck with big hairpin spinnerbaits like you were using. I had some left over heavy-duty models Bill Dee made for me (S.O.B. fishing) that worked well. He used very heavy gauge wire with 2 and 3 oz lead headers and solid hooks. Unfortunately Bill passed away several years ago and his company ceased. I haven't been able to find a musky spinnerbait built as strong.

Keep fishing and making great shows!

Actually I made some "line thru" traps with big single trebles and they worked well, both for wolfies and for payara.
thanks for the post! Have a great new year!
best
