Calcutta CT300D

I use the Calcutta CT200B and the CT400 for inshore fishing. I like the 200 for trout and smaller reds but I feel that it is too small to hold up to larger reds and jacks over time. The 400 handles all size reds (15 - 30lbs) and jacks (15 - 25 lbs) with no problem. But due to the size and weight, it hurts my wrist to cast for long periods. I saw where Calcutta makes a CT300D reel. I have not been able to locate anyone that carries that reel in my area so that I can see how if feels. Does anyone have any experience with the CT300D reel and how do you compare it to the B series (200 or 400). Based on the reel stats, it looks like it would be a great reel that can handle the bigger fish and not wear me out casting it all day.

the 300d and 400d are really close except for fractions of an inch in width. good gear box in both but almost identical in size. also no clicker and very hard to get at the anti backlash blocks.
check out the komodo 350. Not light, but lower profile and possibly the size you're looking for as well.
best
