Not curing

Postby Danny Menton » Wed Mar 18, 2015 7:44 pm

Hi, I ordered a gallon of alumisol to continue pouring baits. I'm not sure this is the correct product as it will not cure or harden like the product in the soft plastic kit. Am I using the right stuff, did i get wrong product, thanks for any help, dan

If it says Alumisol on the bottle and it looks like milk it should be the right stuff. Does it turn clear when you heat it? The only thing I would suggest at this point, if the stuff is clarifying, is that you cook it just a bit longer. Take some of the material that didn't cure and re-cook it, then let us know the result!
We've switched to a non phthalate version which is better from a strength standpoint plus has safer chemistry, is more resistant to scorching but it takes a little more cooking.

Make sure you shake the gallon extremely well before heating as it will separate.

Thank you gentlemen, I didn't shake it well. Ty hat did the trick and I was able to reuse it.
