I am thinking about using a lead jig mold to fill with Alumifoam to make floating jigheads. Anyone try this? Will it work?

I did it with the 610 foam. For a Walleye jig, it was awesome. Now that I live in the South, I am not sure what I will use them for. LOL

I found that a quick mist of UMB mold release made the foam and aluminum mold release a little better; that would be my suggestion.

I see no reason why the Alumifoam would not work just as well, and yes, I needed to lock or clamp the mold shut due to the expansion and I tried not to over fill.

I would post some of the, but ...... have not found that box after the move.

Thanks, I thought the AlumiFoam would make a harder jig. The 610 I figured would be to soft to hold up?

Alumifoam is the perfect goop for the job, but flex foam will also work if you want a softer head.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably try both and see which I like.
