The Hunt For Big Fish with Larry Dahlberg

Larry, in one of your Trinidad episodes you were using an empty water bottle as a float, while fishing with a live crab. I have heard of people using empty water bottles as a float but have never used. What is the best way to do?

There certainly isn't any official way. If you have a rubber band, loop it on the line and also on the bottle. If you don't have a rubber band you can use floss, another piece of line or what ever you happen to have around. Usually I like to set it up so I can adjust the depth when needed, and also make sure it either breaks away or slip down the line so it doesn't get in the way when trying to get a fish to the boat!
