releasing drag on the curado 300 dsv?

Hi Larry,
I like to know your opinion about this..
Do you need to release drag pressure (stardrag) on the curado 300 DSV, when it's not in use?
thanks

Yes you should always loosen the drag and the spool tension control knob when not in use.

Hi Henry, the reason to ask is because we received a brand new curado 300 in a sealed box with drag and all tightened from the importer.

Yes Ive had that happen too. It is careless on their part. Are you near the coast? My parents were from Nordfreisland. I've often thought of going there and am curious about the ocean fishing there.

Hi henry,
Yes, I do, near Rotterdam,
I do fish the delta quite a bit with my own boat, in the south east, where we have relatively calm waters.. sea bass can be pretty good at summertime fishing with lures
charters are from rotterdam for fishing the open sea, for sea bass as well wich can be very good spring up to fall.. winterfishing for cod is very unpredictable and not as good as it used to be the last decenia
.. we have some good lakes and rivers as well for zander pike and perch..

don't know anything about the north though, but a couple 100 miles north from Friesland lies denmark, it seems that fishing must be good for cod, and seatrout in spring and fall, Im gonna check that out next april with my own boat for a couple of days..can keep you informed if you like...

Hi TB,
I concur on backing off the drags when not in use.
best,
