The Snakehead is native of asia. The one they keyed on was the northern
snakehead. China, Korea, and Japan are you best spots for those I
believe. I will be fishing for them in Virgina/Maryland next month with
a friend of mine. They are still a rare catch. He works with the DNR up
there and still only catches very few a year. If you want bigger and
stronger snakeheads you need to go to Thailand and Malaysia and fish
for the giant snakehead. All tackle is 22lbs, but I have pictures of ones
almost twice that size ( those where caught at Kuala Lumpur zoo).
One of the best guides for them is Jean Francois Helias.
So far I have caught three speices of snakeheads. Cobra, Striped, and
Giant. They are a great sport fish and one of my favorites. I have plenty
on info and pictures, just let me know if you want some.

P.S. I also think Larry did say somewhere he was thinking about it.
