Larry, maybe youve been asked this question before but what would you consider a no-fail knot for attatching braid to mono or flouracarbon? If so where could I get a illustration? Thanks and hoping you make that tuna trip in the gulf. regards,Brian

Hi Brian,
For pure strength, the best I've found is to tie a bimini loop in your main line, then use a double nail knot to join it to the shock tippet.
If lines are of similar diameter, a bimini in both then a double nail is again, the strongest, but more bulky. Another name for the nail knot is the Uni-Knot.
best.
